Barbie's World Essay

Sorry for not updating for almost 1 week.
Today I'll like to show you guys an essay I gotta pass up on the coming Monday.
It's full of craps, I admit that><
My English lecturer wants us to write an essay about Barbie's world.
She gives us an article by Emily Prager which criticise Barbie's world to the hell and want us to choose whether you are against it or support it.
Fortunately, we no need to write much, just one page.

Name: Vivian Siow

Barbie’s World

            Whenever we think of Barbie, the first image that appear in our mind is that a model-like woman with fair skin and luxurious blonde hair, complete make-up, trendy outfit, wearing high heels and there’s always a little smirk on her face. Everything in Barbie’s world seemed to be perfect with her amazing car, fantastic apartment and of course an extremely good-looking boyfriend, Ken. In words, Barbie world is a fun land with a lot of imagination. “I’m a Barbie girl in a Barbie’s world. Life in plastic, it’s fantastic. You can brush my hair. Undress me everywhere. Imagination. Life is your creation.” (Lyrics from Barbie Girl, Aqua)

            I’m strongly against Emily Prager’s point of view on Barbie’s world. Prager indicates that Barbie is nothing but a vain and materialistic woman with gorgeous outlook. To me, there’s definitely nothing wrong for looking great for like, 24 hours a day. First step to feeling good is looking good. With the right outfit that make you feel confident about yourself will simultaneously make yourself be in good mood. Therefore, you are in a best situation for doing everything. So what’s wrong with looking good?  In my opinion, there’s also no problem with Barbie’s personal lifestyle. I mean, who know Barbie didn’t work hard in her study or job? In this case, all works and no play make Barbie a dull girl. We all don’t wish that the American sweetheart turns into a nerd, right? Everyone has their rights to choose the way of life  that they want. So, I do respect what kind of lifestyle that Barbie has chosen as long as she make it her way. For me, Barbie’s world rocks!

Idk whether I'll get scolded by lecturer or what.

First Day of Class

I'm having my first day of class in Valentine's Day! :D
I'm taking 3 courses only in this semester, that is, English, Calculus and Nutrition.
For your information, Calculus is the Diffrentiation and Integration chapter we have in Additional Mathematics in SPM.
All of my lecturers are not teaching today.
They just run through the introduction part about the course.
Just to know that the passing mark in ADP is 70%!
70% leh 70% you know!
Wth ==
Uhm, I have international students in all of my classes.
A hot Russian babe who loves to wear bright red lipstick to class in my English class;
An Iran guy named Omar or something like that sit beside me during Calculus;
And an Afghanistan guy in my Nutrition class.
That Russian girl really very pretty you know!
I can't get my eyes off from her XD

Just get to buy some textbooks from the Emo bookstore.
Weird huh why the bookstore in Taylors called Emo==
The textbooks are expensive like hell ;(
The Calculus book needs 88 bucks, that English Handbook needs 60 bucks and there's another Nutrition book I need to buy but it's out of stock now. Just to know that, that book looks expensive too ==

Buddyship Forever

On my third day in Taylors, my best buddy ever, Mr. Lau WeiLiam accopany me to buy things I forget to bring from home in Pyramid.
It's the very first time for me to use the Sunway canopy as a shortcut to the mall.
The canopy is pretty long and it's so green with the forest outside.
It makes me feel like I'm in somekind of botanical garden.
We went to the a very well-known restaurant in Pyramid for lunch and I won't tell you the name directly.
Why?????
Cause I have story to tell you.

I don't wanna to damage the reputation of that certain restaurants so I didn't write the name of that restaurant here.

But if you really very curious about this, I can give you some hints.

1. All of the furnitures there are white in colour.

2. People love to take photo there.

3. It's a really famous restaurant.

One more thing, I wear a new shoes that day and that pairs of shoes are a little bit small for me actually.

But uhm, I think it's ok and I can bear with it until I take off my shoes that night when I'm in my hostel, I see this bloody wound:

Oookay, I arrive at my new campus, Taylors Lakeside University College on this Monday.
So, I have slept in my new room for 3 nights already!
But uhm, today(Thursday) is the Orientation day~
It was kinda fun but also boring during the talk, especially about the library and IT things.
Eh our Dean is a Dutch man!
He's from Holland! Very berry handsome!
Ohya, there are many foreign people taking ADP leh!
Japanese, Korean, Persian, African................
Back to the topic:
The 1st day of orientation went pretty smooth.
I like the shouting chant part.
They divided all the freshman(we) in to 5 different group according to YOUR FAVOURITE FOOTBALL TEAM!
There are MANCHESTER UNITED, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City and also bloody Chelsea.
You just choose which team you prefer and go stand behind the senior who support that football team.
Of course the supporters of my MANCHESTER UNITED is much much more than other team.
Then we need to sing the chant of our team.
The team with the loudest voice win.
Of course again my MANCHESTER UNITED win.
HAHAHAHAHAHA~
I know I'm annoying.
